Gypsy Rose's Story
Gypsy Rose a reg. Arabian mare was rescued in
the spring of 2005. She was very underweight and had been starved for
seven months. She had been leased to some people . They lived in a
beautiful neighborhood, had a nice home, flower gardens and large
swimming pool. There was also a nice pen and shelter for Gypsy Rose to
live in, so from the looks of things they would be able to care for her
very well. But within 7 months, they took Gypsy Rose from a healthy
horse to a gaunt emaciated one. When Gypsy Rose's owner discover the
horrible condition that her beloved horse, she donated Gypsy Rose to us
so we could help have recover and find her a new home. When NER staff
arrived to pick up Gypsy Rose they saw a skeleton of a horse that
looked like bones with a dirty hide covering them. they looked in the
barn to see what she had been fed and to their horror they could not
find feed or any sign of any horse feed anywhere! Gypsy Rose has
since been adopted into a very loving home where she will live out her
days in happiness.
