Rescued Equines - Before & After!
These are some of the more interesting rescue stories
from the past years.
All equines we rescued are very special, but these touched our lives in a
meaningful way. We hope you enjoy these stories.
All of these equines have been adopted into loving
homes.

These equines names are: Gypsy Rose, Nirvana, Swift, Lucky
Lacing & Angel Wings.

Angel Wings was
seized by Lassen County Animal
Control due to severe animal abuse, a felony level of
not providing care. |
5 Months Later!
Angel is a beautiful horse again and is full of life.
She was a 18 y/o Arab, with a lot of years ahead. |

Swift was
seized by Lassen County Animal
Control due to severe animal abuse, a felony level of
not providing care. |
5 Months Later!
Swift is a beautiful horse again and is full of life. Swift believes
that he is the king of all horses. |

Sweetheart was rescued with Ranger and
lived at the same place and were rescued together. |
3 Months Later!
Sweetheart recovered all of her weight just fine. |

Ranger was a 24 year old horse that had
gone for 8 weeks without food, due to his owner
forgetting about him. He could only stand for 15 minutes
at a time or so, he was very weak. The vet said that
Ranger was only days away for dieing from starvation.

3 Months Later!
Ranger was a new horse again and full of life. He had recovered
most of his weight in only 3 months.
He had a strong will to live and that is the only reason he is alive and
well today. Without his strong will he would have surely
died. |

Shadow right after arriving at NER, he
was very underweight and in need of care.

1 month and 2 weeks after coming to
NER
Shadow had almost recovered all of his weight while at NER and is a
beautiful horse once again! |

Gypsy Rose right after being rescued,
she was very underweight, due to being starved for 7
months. She was 650 lbs, 14.2 hands.

Just 2 weeks after being rescued!
Gypsy Rose was recovering her weight very well while at NER. Her
adopter was experienced with horses recovering their
weight. |

Bonnie right after being rescued. She was 750 lbs. 15 hands and only 2
years old. |

Bonnie is a beautiful horse full of life once
again! Her new owner is planning on training
her for jumping. |

Gypsy had been
wandering the foothills of Northern California for
an unknown length of time.
He was very underweight
and his entire body was covered with deer ticks. |
When Gypsy recovered all of his weight he and his new
owner enjoyed Gymkhanas together. Gypsy has won
many ribbons and awards |
