Jericho

  Jericho was rescued off of a feedlot were he was only days away from being slaughtered.

                        6 Months Later!
  Jericho is fat' n happy and loving his new life with his new owner, a Hollywood horse trainer. 

Charlie Boy

 Charlie Boy was starving to death and was only days away from dieing. Chick here for more info.

                        6 Months Later!
  Charlie Boy is living a good life!

Angel Wings

Angel Wings was seized by Lassen County Animal Control due to severe animal abuse, a felony level of not providing care. 

                        5 Months Later!
  Angel is a beautiful horse again and is full of life.
  She was a 18 y/o Arab, with a lot of years ahead.

Swift

Swift was seized by Lassen County Animal Control due to severe animal abuse, a felony level of not providing care. 

                        5 Months Later!
  Swift is a beautiful horse again and is full of life. Swift believes that he is the king of all horses.

Sweetheart

Sweetheart was rescued with Ranger and lived at the same place and were rescued together.

                        3 Months Later!
  Sweetheart recovered all of her weight just fine.

Ranger

Ranger was a 24 year old horse that had gone for 8 weeks without food, due to his owner forgetting about him. He could only stand for 15 minutes at a time or so, he was very weak. The vet said that Ranger was only days away for dieing from starvation.

                            3 Months Later!
  Ranger was a new horse again and full of life. He had  recovered most of his weight in only 3 months.
  He had a strong will to live and that is the only reason he is alive and well today. Without his strong will he would have surely died.

Shadow

Shadow right after arriving at NER, he was very underweight and in need of care.

  1 month and 2 weeks after coming to NER
  Shadow had almost recovered all of his weight while at NER and is a beautiful horse once again!

Gypsy Rose

Gypsy Rose right after being rescued, she was very underweight, due to being starved for 7 months. She was 650 lbs, 14.2 hands.

        Just 2 weeks after being rescued!
  Gypsy Rose was recovering her weight very well while at NER. Her adopter was experienced with horses recovering their weight.

Nirvana

Nirvana had been wandering the mountains of Northern California for about 10 years with no owner. When we rescued Nirvana her hooves were about 6-8" to long and curled into the air.

After many special hoof trimmings Nirvana hooves are much better and she is able to walk with ease and she is very happy with her new life.

Bonnie

Bonnie right after being rescued. She was 750 lbs. 15 hands and only 2 years old. 

        Bonnie 8 months after being rescued!
  Bonnie is a beautiful horse full of life once again! Her new owner is planning on training her for jumping.

Lucky Lacing

  We rescued Lucky Lacing at age 2 months at a livestock auction where she was sold without her mother.  She should never of been removed from her mother at two months of age.  Notice the bulls in the pen Lucky was held prisoner in.

  Lucky required special care and diet because she was so young and she received all the love, care and special diets that she needed while at NER. 
  Lucky is a big girl now and still doing great!

 

Gypsy

Gypsy had been wandering the foothills of Northern California for an unknown length of time. He was very underweight and his entire body was covered with deer ticks.

       When Gypsy recovered all of his weight he and his new owner enjoyed Gymkhanas together.  Gypsy has won many ribbons and awards
