May Hay Days!

This is our third annual May Hay Days fundraiser. It's that time of year again, the hay is being cut and fresh hay is for sale. As you can imagine NER uses a lot of hay and this time of year we have the opportunity to get hay delivered for a very good price.  We can get 3 twined meadow grass hay for approximately $9.00 a bale delivered for large quantities. This would get us about 3 semi load, around 1600 bales. NER feeds about 10 - 15 bales of hay a day and the more horses we rescue the more hay we need. NER is counting on you to do your part of helping to save horses by donating the money to help pay for the hay. All you have to do is donate the money to pay for as many bales as you like to donate, whether it is 1 or all. Every bale is definitely needed and will be enjoyed by a rescued horse.  As we get ready to order the hay we will be contacting everyone that grows and sells hay to get the absolute best deal on great quality hay.  We will also have the hay lab tested for quality and nutrients before purchase to insure the horses are given the best quality hay for the money.
