Monthly Hay Sponsors Needed!

This page was last updated: 5/11/08 - 10:36 PM

Hay that we can count on is very important!  If we know how much hay we can count on each month, then we know about how many horses can be in our rescue that month. Our financial existence is primarily from adoption fees, so having hay that we know is coming in each month allows us plan ahead for the horses we can bring into our rescue.

We currently have only 22 monthly hay bales that we can count on.  That helps a lot, but it's not nearly enough.

We need at least 200 hay bales monthly. You can help us reach our goal. Start donating a bale of hay each month - Become a Hay Bale Sponsor today! It's only $10.00 a month.

This Month's Hay Needs

Every day we feed a lot of horses, just our hay bill alone this month is over $60 a day. That means that we are going to spend any where for $1,800 to $2,000 this month on just hay alone.  The fact is that we have a lot of hungry rescued horses that count on us every day for all their needs. We are hoping that you will help out a hungry horse or two and help that thermometer go up. Every Dollar Helps!

Right now a hay bale cost $10.00
Help if you can, it will be greatly appreciated.

Thank You to this month's Hay Donors!

   Help feed the horses!

We go through 9 - 15 tons of hay each month and the more horses we rescue the more hay we need. We can get 3 twined hay, grass or alfalfa depending on the needs of the horses, it's down to $10.00 to $13.00 a bale now the absolute cheapest available within driving distance.
We are hoping that you will help out by buying a bale or 2 for our hungry horses or becoming a "Hay Sponsor."  All you have to do is donate and we'll do all the hard work of getting the hay, bringing it to the ranch and unloading it. You really do have the easy part of this.  Every bale is definitely  needed and will be enjoyed by a rescued horse.  The hay is much cheaper then it is at the feed store and the more money that is saved from the high prices of hay will help save more horses that are out there just waiting for someone to save them and give them the love they so badly need.
Last spring we were able to get hay for $8.00 then in the summer $9.00 then $10 a bale, then $13.00 and now it's back down to $10.00 a bale. We buy our hay directly from the hay growers to save money. Let's pray that the price of hay does not keep going up.
Our local Wal-Mart donates all their broken bags of horse feeds to us which really helps out. Thanks to Wal-Mart we do not have to buy grains, pellet feeds etc. on the whole, but some times we have a horse that needs a special feed and that makes our feed bill go up. We need your help! We need hay sponsors!
