SEVEN Have Been SAVED!!

We planned on rescuing two horses when the Saved From Death Campaign started, we had no idea what was about to happen. In our hearts we thought that there was no way that we would be able to rescue more. We really wanted to but the funds where just not there. It was so hard to pick out two horses and know that the other ones would surely die. We sent the e-news hoping that the funds would come in, and they began to pour in!  Soon we had raised the needed $1,500 for the two geldings and the funds kept coming in! Since we where getting so much support to save these two horses, we decided that we would press on to save the other five horses that where waiting to go to slaughter too. We could find a boarding stable for the others to stay in until we had more room at our ranch. It would cost about $5,000.00 to save all of them, the transporting, brand inspection, vet bills, boarding, etc.

We raised the thermometer to $5,000.00 and prayed that God would bless the efforts to save these horses. We are very happy to inform you that ALL the needed funds are raised and all SEVEN horses have been saved!

We have paid for the horses and made arrangements for the horses to be kept at the feedlot until the snowy pass over the mountains clears so we can bring them safely to our ranch and to the boarding stable. The horses have been at the feedlot for awhile being fattened up and they feel comfortable there.  We feel it will be less stressful if they stayed there together until we can go get them, then to move them to temporary foster home. We hope to get them on Tuesday, weather permitting.

The Horses Are: ~  Paint gelding, with papers, age 6. ~  Sorrel gelding, age 7 + or - ~ Sorrel gelding, age 2.  ~ Sorrel stud colt, age 1 ~ 2 Sorrel fillies, age 1 ~ Palomino Mare, age 12 + or -

We are just so thankful for all those who did what they could to help save these beautiful horses. You are these horse's heroes! Every dollar that was donated helped saved each one of these horses.

Thank you so much, you who made a difference for all the horses!

News

We have moved out to the new ranch and life has been busier then ever before. Today is the last day that we have accesses to electricity, phone and internet. We are in the process of getting the utilities to the ranch and they hopefully will be there soon. Shari is no longer working with us, thus she will not doing emails and phones.  This will make e-mails and phone messages hard to reply, so please be patient with us. We will be going to the library as often as possible to check/reply to e-mails and the neighbor is letting us use his phone.  Return contact will be delayed but we will get back with you. Phone messages will be the best way to get in contact with us.
