Pokey
is a 14.3 hand, 25 year old, Mustang, gelding, NER # 200. He
is a sweet boy and is a vocal fellow. He knows his name and loves to be called,
but he always wants a treat if you want to take him out of his pen. He is
very well trained to ride and would be good for an advanced beginner. He carries
himself proudly and he looks great with or without a saddle. He was adopted from
the BLM as a 3 year old by a lady who trained him and kept him until last
August. She moved to Hawaii and was not able to take Pokey with her. Pokey was
given to a lady, who soon was no longer able to care for him, so she surrendered
Pokey to us. Pokey is a very sweet boy and misses his mommy of 22 years very
much. He is looking for a new family that he can love and call his own. Please
consider giving Pokey a forever home.
Adoption Fee: $350 - Currently Available |

raised! |

WE DID IT!!!!! Thanks to YOU we raised the $25,000 needed
for the down payment on our new rescue facility!
Thanks to the dozens of $5, $10, $25, $50, $100,
$1000 donations, and a special thanks to an anonymous $5,700 donation, the down
payment
has
been raised! We could never of done it on our own, but thanks to you, it
happened. Escrow will be closing any day now, and then we need to set up some
pens, barns and stalls, and we will be operating at our new rescue facility. We
still welcome donations to help save equines, build facilities on the property,
and to help cover the general cost of operating.
We are so grateful to all
who made donations and contributions to our ranch, and we just want to let you
know some day soon your name will be placed on a plaque at our
new ranch so that others will be able to view your name and give thanks that you
made this possible. |

Blondie
is a 14.3 hand, 15 year old, Quarter Horse, NER # 199. We believe
that her coloring would be a chocolate palomino or silver sorrel. She
has a grayish mane-tail and chocolaty color on her muzzle and eyes.
She is a very sweet horse, but a little shy of new people. She is
trained to ride and would be good for an experienced rider. She is
not a bad horse, but she is just such that she would be enjoyed by a
more experienced rider.
Adoption Fee:
$950.00 - Status: Available for Adoption |
Jenny
is 11 years old, 10 hands, white, Miniature Donkey,
jenny, NER #192. Jenny is a very sweet and lovable
little donkey. She has never been abused or neglected.
Her owner was no longer able to keep her. Jenny has been
very well fed, and is on a diet program. She is not
foundered but there is a fear of founder if her weight
gain is not controlled. She is only adoptable to an
adopter that is experienced with equines so they can
continue her diet program.
Adoption Fee:
$850.00 - Status: Available for Adoption |
Zoro
is 17.2 hand, 16 year old, Friesian
-Thoroughbred cross, gelding, NER # 191. He is very gentle and has had
lots of experience with children riders. Zoro had stringhalt
in his right hind leg that required surgery, he is very underweight
and will require long rehabilitation with us. Zoro was saved from a
auction, where he absolutely had the potential to be bought by a "Killer
Buyer", his future was very grim indeed because of his medical
needs.

Splash
is a 7 year old, 14.2 hands, gray,
registered Quarter Pony,
gelding, NER # 193. He has been through so much in his short life, it is just
terrible.
No horse should have to go through what he has gone through. Splash
has galloped down Highway
99 being chased by police cars until he ran into a car, has been starved to
nothing but bones, has been
tied up with the ropes in a barbaric training method, and more, there's just too
much to list here,
you can find out more on our web site.

News |
The biggest news is that the $25,000 has been raised and we are so
thankful to you for your help!
We have added a new feature to our web
site. We have placed an "Adoption Hold" PayPal button on the pages of the available
equines. Now you can place an equine in adoption pending status for 5
business days. The Adoption Hold is $50.00 which gives you 5 business
days to adopt the equine and/or gives you time for
your application to be processed and for you
to come meet the equine. If the five business
days expire and you need more time for the
adoption the extra hold will be a donation of $20
per day. The $50 hold and the extra $20 per
day will be considered non refundable donations so
that we have the assurance that you are
serious about adopting. We reserve the
right to refuse adoption if we feel that the match is not absolutely perfect for
the equine and the humans. If more than one adoption hold is received
before we have the opportunity to update our website, the first person that
placed an adoption hold will receive the hold. The 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc can
either have their hold refunded, they can wait in line "hoping" the adoption
falls through, or it can be donated to help equines in need.
We would also like to let you know that Hugo found his forever home!
Every horse, pony, donkey or mule has a special place in someone's heart, the
hard part for some equines is having to wait so long to get a loving home at
last and now Hugo has found that home! |
Thanks
for your support and please consider opening your home
to one of our equines!
