  • The Auction Fund
  • Cowboy Needs Your Help!

We are sending this e-news to bring two of our current urgent needs to your attention.
   # 1:   Our monthly auction fund is currently at $825 to rescue horses from the auction on next Sunday.  These funds will save about two, maybe three horses depending on how many killer buyers there are. We would love to save more then two or three and with help we can.
   # 2:   We are hoping to raise enough money for Cowboy so that he can have a surgery that will relieve him of his agony and give him a pain free and happier life.  Cowboy has been through a lot and we would love to give him this surgery. He is a shy, sweet, willing guy that deserves the best. With help he can live a happier, healthy life.

Thank you for your time and support financially and emotionally. We understand that with high price of gas and all, money is tight for most people, if you cannot help at this time, please forward our needs to those that may be able to help!  Donations may be mailed to:

  NorCal Equine Rescue

Or donations may be sent using Paypal to: donate@savethehorse.com.

Thank you so much for all of your help!

The Auction Fund

      Next Auction Rescue - 5-11-08

With the last fund raised we were able saved 12 horses and did this with a $4,485 donation. We rescued a lot of wonderful horses.  Help us save more of these wonderful horses at the next auction rescue.

We don't know what horses there will be at the next auction but we do know that they need to be saved!

We are trying to raise $2,500 to save the unknown horses at the next auction.  We have a lot of horses right now, but can bring a few more in. The donators during the month will be allowed to choose the names of the horses that we rescue at the auction!

Cowboy Needs Your Help!

Cowboy has some navicular due to damage to his navicular bone, it's not the disease, it is due to an old injury. Our vet believes with the surgery on that leg that he would be pain free. Cowboy has been through a lot and we would love to give him this surgery. He is a shy, sweet, willing guy that deserves the best.
 Please help us help him.

Cowboy has a long story with us. We got him from Roseville Livestock Auction on July 9th, 2006.  He had new shoes on and his hoof conformation was pretty poor. Cowboy was lame, the guy who took him to the auction said that he was sore because he was trimmed to short... Click here for the story.
