Pet adoption and rescue powered by Adopt-a-Pet.com

Adopt an Equine in Need!

If you are interested in a specific equine, you will need to place a $50 Adoption Hold on that equine.   You must include the equine’s name and/or NER number or the adoption hold will be considered a donation.  The adoption hold is nonrefundable. The adoption hold will hold the equine for you for one week after your adoption application is approved.  If you are not approved, your adoption hold will be considered a donation.    We are pleased that you are considering adopting a rescued equine. Adopting can be very rewarding as you and the equine grow a life long bond.  A rescued equine can have so much more love and affection to give, with all of their life experiences, than a bred/trained/sold horse who has never been outside of his 12x24 pen except to be worked.  There are so many horses that desperately need homes, many have been rescued from slaughter and are waiting for their second chance at a forever home.  Won't you consider opening your home to one of these needy ones?

If you are already approved to adopt you have one week to make arrangements for transportation and for the adoption to take place. Remember that we only keep adoption applications on file for 6 months, you may need to resubmit your application.

If you do not have an adoption application on file with us, you will need to submit an adoption application within 24 hours after you place an adoption hold.  Adoption applications usually take about 1 week to process, but they can range from a couple hours to a couple weeks, depending on how easily your references are to contact and how many applications are being processed.  To get started with the adoption application - Click Here.
